Dear 1E (2008) / 2E (2009),

How are you? How has the new year been? When I went into your class yesterday, I realised I missed all of you. It was good to see all of you again.

Have a great long weekend ahead! And for those who are celebrating, have a blessed Lunar New Year!

Thank you, parents

Dear parents,

Some of you gave very encouraging comments during the Parent-Teacher Meeting. To all those who did, thank you for all the positive affirmation; I truly do appreciate them, and I am most grateful to have you as partners in our children’s education.

Education is a collaborative effort by both the school teacher and the parents. If we support each other, our children will always benefit. I am most thankful to all the parents who have collaborated in this endeavour, and especially to those who have been most spportive of the school’s initiatives, programmes and policies. We all strive for what is best for the children.

Thank you very much for all your support and kind words. You have my heartfelt appreciation.

Have a blessed time with your child/children during this year end holiday.

Parent-Teacher Meeting (Friday, 7th Nov)

Posted on November 7th, 2008 in General by mrloh  Tagged

Dear parents/guardians,

1. Today is the Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM). It is from 4 - 7.30 p.m.

2. We need your help to adhere to the time given as there are many others who wish to meet up with me to discuss their children’s progress. Let’s cooperate so that each of us have that amount of time to chat about your child’s/ward’s academic & behavioural progress.

3. Today’s meeting is to view the examination scripts. We can check which areas are our children’s strenths and weaknesses. They are not to be taken home as this is the school’s confidentiality policy.

4. The report books will be given out next week.

5. Thank you for your cooperation.

Activity for Thursday (2nd Oct)

Posted on October 2nd, 2008 in General by mrloh  Tagged

Dear parents,

We went to the computer lab today to utilise the computer software, Lead.com, as a form of revision.

The children enjoyed themselves tremendously.

We also went to Primarygames.com to revise in a fun way.

Then we went to the library for our DEAR time.

We revised one of the examination sections, Story Sequencing, when we went back to class.

There is one piece of homework for today:

1. Writing Learning Sheet (structure of ‘trying to’).

Happy Children’s Day!

Homework for Thursday (25th Sept)

Posted on September 25th, 2008 in General by mrloh  Tagged

Dear parents,

We continued with our Class Dictated Story and finished it in class. Then we had group writing. The writing was done but the transfer of writing onto the butcher paper has yet to be completed.

In it, the children learnt the importance of paragraphing, and the use of linking words/phrases (e.g. then, after that, finally).

Homework for today is as follows:

  1. Hari Raya / Children’s Day celebration letter to be show to you;
  2. 2 learning sheets are to be completed.
The pictures for today’s class work will be uploaded tonight. Stay tuned!
